Healthy, tasty and gluten free
I like buckwheat for the high nutritional value but also its very tasty and easy to cook with. This pasta makes a nice change from groats and its great for those who miss wheat pasta because of needing to avoid gluten
Great gluten-free option
This is one of the best gluten-free pastas Ive ever tried! It doesnt stick together like other brands/types and its super tasty and soft without going mushy.
I really enjoyed this I liked the texture, flavour, and that it seemed really substantial, I didnt need much for my pasta craving to be satisfied! Its more expensive than some other gluten free pastas (hence 4 stars), but Ill stock up whilst its on offer. Lovely with squash, capers, lemon and kale.
It is not the same as wheat pasta and can never be, but it is delicious in its own right.
Slimy but I dont mind
As previous reviewers have noted, when overcooked this pasta gets rather slimy if you over cook it. This doesnt bother me because at the end of the day its just a vessel to carry a tasty sauce on. It is also not as full as nasties as other gluten free pastas
Horrible floppy pasta
i m italian and can cook pasta. No matter how hard you try, this is impossible to cook '' al dente'' ,with a bite to it, it ends up floppy and slimy or totally undercooked.I will stick to Doves organic rice pasta, a shame, since I would have preferred to eat one made with buckwheat and don't like the mixtures of some others with corn or whatever else they stick in the mix of some non gluten pasta .
