RSPCA Assured free-range white eggs
Beautiful white free-range eggs with a tasty, deep golden yolk, full of flavour from happy and healthy hens, with complete provenance and traceability.
We’ve taken great care in selecting our white hen breed, giving you a deliciously flavourful egg with a deep golden yolk in a beautiful white shell, while helping to reduce your carbon footprint and prioritise high hen welfare – values that sit at the heart of everything we do.
Up until the 1970s, white eggs were the norm in the UK, before shoppers switched to brown eggs under the misconception they were more natural or healthier.
Our white hens live in mobile housing nestled among woodland on the idyllic Patshull Estate, with nesting boxes, perches and scratch areas, plus acres of pasture to roam, forage and socialise naturally.
Packington Free Range is a B Corp certified, ethical family business. By choosing our free-range eggs, you’re supporting high welfare farming and a more compassionate, sustainable food system.

Preparation and Usage
Perfect for poaching, frying, soft or hard boiled eggs as well as baking.
For the perfect Poached Egg:
Using your really fresh Packington Free Range eggs, crack them (one at a time) into a bowl or saucer first, this helps the egg to slide into the water more easily.
With at least 5cm of water to a pan, bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat so there are no more bubbles and keep water at a gentle simmer.
Add the egg to the water and poach for 3-4 minutes, 3 will give a nice soft yolk.
Remove the egg with a slotted spoon and enjoy!

Brand details
At Packington Free Range we're B-Corp Certified and firmly believe that what is good for the animals and the land will naturally be good for us and better for our customers. This is the philosophy of our great grandfather before us and we believe passionately in provenance, sustainable and ethical farming which fuels our drive to create an environmentally sound and welfare orientated farm.
Our farms are in various environmental schemes, and we believe in farming in a way that increases regeneration and biodiversity, all having a positive impact on the land and on the animals. Regular surveys on our farms show that the number of different birds and wildlife species increases year on year. We have installed solar panels and use bio-mass boilers to help further reduce our carbon footprint. All of this allows us to continue to farm the land here, in Staffordshire, for generations to come.
It's this simple philosophy that enables us to produce the most succulent, richly flavoured meat that we know you'll enjoy.
Rob and Alec Mercer.
