Who doesnt love stuffing?
A cheap but delicious addition to Sunday lunch and always a hit with all the family. I add pork sausage meat and apple sauce to the packet mix to make a really tasty stuffing.
We have been making stuffing balls with this mixed with sausagemeat for many years so for us a store cupboard staple and even better when on offer to stock up. Tried other 'flavours' finding this is the one we prefer. Essential Sunday roast ingredient!
Every so often I try a more expensive, more interesting sounding stuffing, but none are as good as this. Somethings cant be improved upon. Great either on its own or mixed with sausagemeat.
So easy to make stuffing balls and there are never any left over after the family has devoured them!
Always have a packet of this handy, cant go wrong with other it. Whole family loves this with a roast dinner. Would it be the same without it!
Mix with sausage meat and chestnuts
My mother used to use this stuffing mix and used half the amount of water to the mix because she added sausage meat or skinned sausages The fat from the sausage meat binds it all together for a perfect consistency. Add chopped dried chestnuts. I make it now the same way and it is a favourite with our family and guests.
