The Paxton & Whitfield cheese collection contains the finest artisanal cheese. Each piece is hand-cut by the specialist cheesemongers at Paxton & Whitfield from their Cotswold cheese maturation rooms.
Paxton & Whitfield Montgomery’s Cheddar is hand selected by our expert cheesemongers. This traditional, clothbound cheddar is made by the Montgomery family in Somerset, who have been making cheese for four generations. This West Country classic is deep, rich and brothy in flavour with a slightly crumbly texture and the occasional blues streak that is characteristic of an aged, clothbound cheese.
Paxton & Whitfield is the UK's oldest cheesemonger and celebrated its 225th birthday in 2022. The company has held the Royal Warrant of Appointment to every reigning monarch since Queen Victoria in 1850, currently holding a Royal Warrant for King Charles II. Paxton & Whitfield prides itself on sustainable sourcing and maturation of the finest cheeses from the UK and across the continent.
