Product Information
Lusco: setting sun, twilight.
Made from carefully selected Albariño grapes and hand harvested. Fermented with native yeasts and left to age on the fine lees for five months. The resulting wine is bright, full and rounded on the palate.
Nothing beats a good sunset. Particularly one enjoyed overlooking the wild Atlantic coastline of northern Spain, with a cool glass of crisp refreshing albariño in hand. We love our sunsets so much we named this wine ‘Lusco' - the Galician word for sunset - in homage to those fleeting moments that catch our breath, when the light dances on the horizon and the sun sinks below the waves.
Made from Albariño grapes, hand-picked with love and fermented with care. No animal products used, so suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Please drink responsibly: The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend adults do not regularly drink more than 14 units per week

History
The winery joined the Gonzalez Byass family of wine in 2016, Pazos de Lusco is an artisanal Rías Baixas producer crafting elegant and expressive Albariño wines. Located just 2 k from the Portuguese border in the sub-region of Condado de Tea, the wines are characteristic of this inland region, typically richer and fuller than their coastal counterparts. At the heart of the estate lies the majestic manor house, known as Pazo Piñeiro, which dates back to the 16th century.

Tasting notes
Lusco is a clear, bright, straw yellow. The nose is clean, with pronounced intensity. The dominant aromas are of ripe fruit, particularly pear and Golden Delicious apple, and flowers. On the palate, acidity and alcohol are remarkably well balanced. The wine reveals an interesting note of citrus, is structured on the palate and well rounded.
