Peckish Peanuts For Wild Birds 2kg
£11
£5.50 per kgProduct information
Peanuts are one of the most popular garden bird foods and will attract a wide variety of colourful birds into your garden. From the more common birds like Blue Tits and Chaffinches to the rarer Great Spotted Woodpecker and Nuthatch, Peckish Peanuts will fill your garden with colour and vitality. With food resources scarcer now, it is essential to feed garden birds all year round. Once you have started to feed the birds it is important to continue this and develop a routine, as the birds will become reliant upon your help. Put out feed at the beginning of the day to ensure that the birds can replace the energy that they have lost over night. It is best to have multiple feeding sites within the garden to prevent overcrowding. Moving them around regularly will prevent a build-up of droppings, which can spread disease and bacteria.
Preparation and Usage
To use in bird feeders, simply pour contents into a mesh Peanut feeder. To feed on bird tables scatter the peanuts across the table. Also suitable for feeding in tray and ground feeders. It is important in spring to only feed peanuts from a mesh feeder, as young birds can choke on whole peanuts.

Wild parakeets love them
The nuts come in a thick resealable bag and are big enough to stay in the bird feeder and make the birds work for them. Mine dangles high up on a balcony and it popular with parakeets, blue tits and great tits especially. The pigeons mop up any dropped bits, as do unfortunately mice.
Still small and wrinkly
Just bought the big bag. Very disappointed with the appearance of these peanuts compared to the CJ wildlife ones. Birds appear to be eating but peanuts are so small they fall thru both my bird feeders! Will not purchase again.
Good buy
These have obviously improved since the last review, I have purchased on more than one occasion and the nuts have always been good.
Just ok
Not great quality I'm sorry to say. Just like the 5kg bag, these are tiny, old, wrinkly little things. About a third are black which can't be good. Took a chance on these in case the 5kn bag just wasn't selling so had been stored for too long. But no, they're all not very good quality. I'll stick to the CJ Wildlife ones which are always excellent.
