Very fresh and zingy with lively citrus acidity, notes of tropical fruits and a certain minerality, which gives the wine a lovely balance.
History
Pecorino is an ancient grape variety indigenous to the Abruzzo region - it is said that the Benedettini monks cultivated Pecorino. Rediscovered in the 1980's, Pecorino has now become the regions leading white grape variety.
Regional Information
The grapes for PEMO Pecorino are grown in the white wine zone of Chieti, on hillside slopes about 300 metres above sea level. The Grapes are handpicked in the second week of September

Vinification Details
Hand Picked in the second week of September, destemmed and pressed, with fermentation taking 12-15 days. The wine is then left on the lees for a minimum of 120 days.

I'd never come across Pecorino until a couple of years ago and I love it! This one is great, fruity and not too dry.
