Penderyn Single Malt has a light fruitiness, generous flavour and a subtle complexity. Our unique stills produce a spirit of extraordinary strength and purity. Once this has been married with our own natural spring water, it is first matured in the finest ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in hand-selected ex-peated whisky casks from Islay.
Tasting Notes
Nose: It introduces itself with sweet, aromatic smoke. Under this, there are signature notes of vanilla, green apple and refreshing citrus. Palate: An array of gentle flavours tempts even the most sophisticated palate. Finish: Smoke and vanilla linger on the attractive medium length finish. Balance: Light smoke / citrus fruitiness

Every bit as good as Islay malt
Complex and sophisticated with a strong peaty/smoky tinge. If you like Islay malt you'll love this. But beware that if the Highlands are your normal sipping grounds this will knock your Sporran off:) For the initiated, the peat comes across as a subtle flavour of iodine.
A little too peaty
I am reviewing this product as I got a free sample from Ocado. The whisky is very smooth and has a nice smell, but I am afraid to say that the amount of peat is just too much for my personal taste. I'm sure if you like peated whisky you would be very happy as the overall quality and smoothness was very good.
quality malt
I have this to my brother as gift - and whilst he would not have normally tried this - he really enjoyed the different taste to this. Very light and smooth.
nice light peated whiskey
This whiskey has a really nice flavour and is nice and light. Lovely packaging too.
Welsh Whiskey Who Would Have thought it?
A stunning smooth whiskey could easily compete with some of the top end Scottish whiskies! I will be buying a bottle when this is gone! One of the best items I have been asked to review - Thank you to Ocado for introducing us to this!!
