Disappointing
Bought this in the flash sale. Overpowering Stilton and not much steak.
Unpleasant
Pastry very hard, Stilton over powering and just not a good flavour or quality pie. Very expensive too for the poor quality that it is. Very disappointed indeed with this product.
not for us
we only had 2 mouthfuls and threw the rest away. The stilton was too overpowering and the pastry was hard. Please bring back Jon Thorner Steak and Stilton, that was a perfect steak and stilton
Good and bad
I loved the filling, which was soft and tender with a good amount of tangy stilton and a tasty gravy. The pastry, on the other hand, was hard and tough. I like short, crumbly, buttery pastry - not toasted cardboard.
Very nice.
Really tasty pie and good size. I found the blue cheese taste just right and decent amount of soft chunks of beef. Would have liked more gravy inside it !
expensive
These pies are tasty but the quality has dropped recently and at £4.70 each just way too expensive now Not so long ago they were 2 for £7 sorry no longer in my basket
