awful
Utterly repulsive. The texture of the mascarpone was more like a ricotta and just very bland and nasty. The the base was so overloaded with wet cheese that the base didnt cook.
Bring back the Margherita Speciale!
Ever since they stopped doing the Speciale, I've been looking for a decent replacement trying various different pizzas on Ocado. None of which were particularly good. Then I saw that Pizza Express were bringing out a new range, ok its not exactly what I'm after but could this be my new Friday night pizza?? Short answer - no. It just tastes cheap. The dough has a weird texture and tastes strange. I've been putting sweet chilli jam and oregano on it which helps but otherwise its bland. Surely there has to be a decent shop bought pizza somewhere?

This is very tasteless. Why did they stop the old Romana range pizzas which were far tastier and crispier!
Poor
Not a patch on the restaurant version, cheese toppings were frugal and flavourless. Would not buy again.
really poor quality
Used to love pizza express pizzas but this was truly awful no taste at all
So disappointing
I used to really love the quattro formaggi pizza in pizzaexpress restaurants so I thought this might be nice too. I was wrong. It's really terrible. It looked quite good when it was cooked, it browned nicely and made big bubbles of cheese. The base tastes weird, a bit raw and there's a doughy-ness to it. Then the topping doesn't really taste of anything, just a texture. HOW can they get it so wrong?! What a shame, it could have been a wonderful thing.
