Preparation and Usage
A daily consumption of 1.5-2.4g plant sterols can lower cholesterol by 7-10% in 2-3 weeks. Eat 3 servings of this spread (30g) per day. A 10g serving contains 0.54g plant sterols. Combine with a healthy diet and lifestyle with sufficient fruit and vegetables.
Cooking guidelines
Each 10g serving of Flora pro.activ spread contains 0.75g of plant sterols. Health experts agree that 2-2.5g of plant sterols a day is optimal for cholesterol lowering. More than 3g is not recommended.
Check with your doctor first if you are already taking cholesterol lowering medication, or if you have special dietary needs (i.e. you are pregnant or breast-feeding) and before giving to children under five.
