Preparation and Usage
100g of Pure Via® Perfect Icing Sugar Alternative (15 kcal) as sweet as 100g of Icing Sugar (400 kcal)
Simply use in place of Icing Sugar to create delicious frosting and cake decorations.

Makes 25 biscuits
Ingredients
- 100g unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 100g Pure Via Baker's Secret® Perfect Caster Sugar Alternative
- 1 medium free-range egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 275g plain flour
To Decorate
- 200g Pure Via Baker's Secret® Perfect Icing Sugar Alternative
- 2-3 tbsp water
1 Preheat the oven to 190°C/170°C Fan/Gas 5. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
2 Mix the butter and Pure Via Baker's Secret® Perfect Caster Sugar Alternative together in a bowl until combined.
3 Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, a little at a time, until well combined, then stir in the flour and bring together to form a dough.
4 Roll the dough out on a lightly floured work surface to a thickness of 1cm.
5 Using biscuit cutters, cut biscuits out of the dough and carefully place onto the baking tray.
6 Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside for 2 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
7 For the icing, pour the Pure Via Baker's Secret® perfect icing sugar alternative into a mixing bowl and stir in enough water to create a smooth mixture.
8 Spread the icing carefully onto the biscuits using a knife or decorate with a piping bag and set aside until the icing hardens.

Tastes horrible
I was shocked at how horrible it tasted. Hard to describe but it tasted sour and for some reason made me think of a car engine. I was making icing out of it and really glad I tasted it before putting it on the cupcakes otherwise they would have been ruined. Truly disgusting tasting.
Too artificial, too sweet
I'm reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. The sweeteners make too sweet and artificial, if you mix with some cream cheese maybe it will make it less sweet, but just itself is too sweet and artificial.

Was suoer excited when I found this as we are a sugar free household and have tried lots of buttercresm alternatives without success. sadly, this alternatives, while resembling icing sugar is much, much sweeter , so much so that it's very hard to eat. Not sure how to counteract the cloying sweetmess so sadly won't be buying again.
