Easy porridge Whats not to like?
oats fine but loads of unnecessary packaging
Used these for some time but worked out how to make good porridge by eye (not hard really) or you could tip a packet into a container you have nearby and measure how much milk needed. Such a waste of unnecessary packaging when you think about it.
New texture like wallpaper paste
I've had Oats So Simple for breakfast for years and years. I make them up with water and add a splash of milk, honey and seeds etc once they're cooked. Recently, however, the texture has completely changed. They're not longer "oaty" but weirdly mushy and smooth with a strange gloopy - almost jelly-like - texture, exactly like wallpaper paste. After all these years I won't be buying these oats again now, sadly.
Easy, convenient, healthy and tasty breakfast
My kids love these. Using the sachet to measure the milk is great as it gives them the independence to get on with making their own bowl of porridge in the morning, gives me time for an extra cuppa!
One of my healthy comfort foods
When I feel marginally hungry and want a quick fix I have this instead of a hand full of biscuits or chocolate bars. I usually eat it in an evening when those sweet cravings are the hardest to resist. For me it really does the trick and is just as quick to make as coffee/tea and biscuits. I also find using the suggested emptied sachet as the measure for the perfect quantity of milk to use sheer genius.
