Our iconic selection of sweets has been bringing people together since 1936. John Macintosh, the owner of a successful confectionery business in Norwich, sold a deliciously chewy new toffee invented by his wife. When his son inherited the business, he soon created a range of sweets in beautiful wrappers that everyone could enjoy – and Quality Street® was born. Our sweets have been made in Halifax in Yorkshire since 1936, but they are enjoyed all over the world by lovers of delicious chocolate.
You’ll know it’s Christmas when you see the iconic purple carton for the first time. From The Purple One to Green Triangle, Strawberry Delight to Chocolate Toffee Finger, there’s something that everyone in the family can’t wait to get their hands on. Open the carton, dig through the sparkling sweets, and discover festive moments that you’ll remember forever. mix.
"Is it even Christmas if you don’t get the Quality Street in? I don’t think so. And I say that even though I’m still in shock at the discontinuation of the topaz-brown-wrapped Toffee Deluxe, my favourite of the lot. I decant mine straight away into a glass jar, the better to enjoy their jewel colours, and then strew them about the place as edible Christmas decorations." Nigella Lawson
Preparation and Usage
1 Serving = 2 Sweets
Occasionally it is necessary to replace a sweet with another of equally high quality. The chocolates may become white in warm conditions as a result of cocoa butter moving to the surface, but are still safe to enjoy.

Still in a metal tin & zero blooming
I preferred the look of the foil wrapped ones of old. But they are still all the same quality as before (zero blooming) They are also STILL in a tin! its only the smaller size thats in a plastic tub (and tbh, who cares better seal with plastic anyhow!)
12 pounds?!
Ridiculously expensive for an ever decreasing tin size.
Very unappealing
I was very disappointed on opening this tin of quality street. I have to say I have never seen chocolates look so unappealing. I presume the new Matt insipid wrappers are environmentally friendly so I understand the manufacturers need to make changes. However, for me personally I won’t be purchasing quality street again. A tin of quality’s street used to signal that Christmas had arrived in our house and they looked like quality chocolates. They changed the beautiful tin to an awful plastic one (although to be fair this box was actually tin and not plastic) so okay I decanted into a glass bowl but these new wrappers look just awful! Sorry but I can’t buy anymore and would not buy as a gift either.
Large tin isn't what it used to be
This seems like a standard size tin with more chocolates inside, I guess it's better than paying for a tin of air, but definitely not the same size as we had growing up.
expensive
When I received the tin I thought it was really small for the price, I was right, same size as the plastic tub with only 200g more chocolates, better to buy 2 plastic tubs than one tin for quantity
Traditional
Been having these for about 45 years. Wouldn’t be Christmas without them and £2 in clearance!
