Quinta do Noval Unfiltered LBV is a Single Vineyard LBV, made from grapes exclusively grown in Quinta do Noval's own vineyards, at the heart of the Douro valley. It has a deep rich red colour with ripe aromas of cherries on the nose, a mouthful of fresh red fruits with a fine and silky tannic structure and a long harmonious finish. Ideally served as an accompaniment to chocolate, cheese, dessert or simply on its own. This wine is unfiltered and will continue to develop in the bottle. It may throw sediment and need decanting.

Quinta do Noval lies in the Douro valley in Northern Portugal where it has produced great port since 1715. Perhaps best known for the famous Nacional, a tiny plot of ungrafted vines which consistently produce a superb Vintage Port which is unique to Noval and widely considered one of the world's greatest wines.

Quinta do Noval is situated in the very heart of the Douro valley, in the Cima Corgo, just 2 km from the small town of Pinhão. As you approach the entrance to the quinta from Pinhão, you will see the famous broad terraces of Quinta do Noval on the right. Quinta, which is principally situated in the valley of the small Pinhao river, a tributary of the Douro, has approximately 145 hectares of vines, ranging in altitude from 100m, at the level of the Pinhao river, to 350m at the summit of the valley.

Dark brick ruby color, with vigorous ripe red fruity nose. Smooth and silky, with a solid structure and a long harmonious finish.

The grapes for the Quinta do Noval Unfiltered LBV 2004 were trodden by foot and fermented in the traditional “lagares” of the Quinta. It is then aged for four and a half years in old wooden vats prior to bottling.
