To enhance its properties, Ettore turned it into a unique alcoholic drink which he used to offer
His friends in his workshop. The name Zucca is also associated with some of the most traditional and best-known cafes in major European cities, from Milan to Turin and Paris appreciated by King Victoria Emanuele iii. Zucca became the official supplier of the Italian royal family.

Manufacturer marketing

Born in 1845 from an old recipe of Tilde Beduschi, who used to prepare an infusion of rhubarb and medicinal herbs to help her rather poor digestion. Her husband, Ettore Zucca, revitalized the infusion turning it into a unique alcoholic drink, usually offered to his friends. Carlo Zucca - Ettore’s & Tilde’s successor - found out the recipe in the family workshop and launched Zucca brand, in 1919.
