a cross between jam and brown sauce
This had a bitter, burnt sugar aftertaste, it was a weird brown colour and a runny consistency, like a cross between jam and brown sauce, most unpleasant.
weird combo
i think a genuine mistake was made here? the spice is called ras el hanout not rose el hanout. ras el hanout is a moroccan blend of over 20 spices that's used in certain savoury dishes where you want a strong taste of the very potent spices. it does not belong in a jam for sure.
disgusting
This tastes like a chutney, not a floral fruit jam.
Lovely flavours but too sweet
I really like the Moroccan spices, they make this jam intriguing and different but I have to knock a star off due to the overly sugary sickly sweetness. I really wanted to love this jam but I got sick of it halfway through the first jar as it's just way too sugary and it put me off buying it again.
not my thing
I was expecting something sweet but as other reviewer says tastes of cumin. So it might work as a marinade but not for me as a preserve/jam type thing. Wont buy again
Strawberry jam with a difference
This is so good - I must make some more scones to experience the special flavours of this jam
