The Origin "Gallo Nero" is a whole-grain rice with an unmistakable natural black colour that, while cooking, releases the characteristic scent of freshly baked bread. Gallo Nero was born and grows in Italian rice fields. It is processed and packaged by Riso Gallo in Lomellina, for a 100% made in Italy rice. Riso Gallo guarantees the origin of its black rice from Italian rice fields and the quality of its grains, which in size and aroma represent an Italian excellence.

Healthy Wholegrain

Adding handful of the black rice to bowl of the white rice and my cooked rice become purple! Love the amazing texture as well

If you want a healthier option, black rice matters

Tried this for a change and it's excellent. Lovely flavour, nice aroma and it makes for a contrasting visual when served. I used twice the water to rice and a good sprinkle of salt then very gently simmered for 18 mins, until the water had absorbed. Then spooned into a ramekin dish, flipped upside down onto a plate and microwaved for two mins, this presents it well and it fluffs the rice a little too.

Very good

Smaller size grain than other brands but very good quality and flavour. Try it and you wont regret it.

Simply perfect- nutritious, read the label!

Easy to cook, beautiful fragrance, has a lovely comforting bite and also nutritious, just read the label!
