This Coteaux Bouguignon comes from the hills surrounding the Cote D'Or in Burgundy. A region world famous for producing world class Chardonnay. With similar soil types sourcing fruit from the vineyards around the hills allows Roche de Bellene to produce a wine with all the characteristics of village Burgundy for everyday drinking.

The city of Beaune, called « Bellene » until the middle Age, is renowned for its Burgundy wines. Nicolas POTEL personally chose this brand name in reference to this city, historically linked with wine and famous for its diversity of terroirs.

Vineyards within the widest expanse of Burgundy that can be used to make wine covering The Cote Maconnais, Chalonnais, D'Or up to Chablis. However our wine is produced from vineyards near the Cote D'Or, in the hills above Pommard called Luze. A beautiflu peaceful sector of agricutural land around small ancient villeges where time seems to have stopped for decades.

Vinification details
Hand harvested and immediately pressed into large oak vats (6,000 and 3,000 litre) to ferment, allowing the fruit to express itself. Once fermentation is over, the wine is settled and taken from the lees for a light earth filter and bottling
