Rooster Rojo® Tequila is produced at “Fabrica de Tequilas Finos” distillery, located in the city of
Tequila, Jalisco, state of Mexico, at the foot of Tequila hill. The distillery started its operations in
2000 but the beautiful old colonial building it is housed in was built in 1923
The Agave pinas are cut in 2 parts and cooked in a steam autoclave for 10 hours. We only produce
100% agave tequila to give our consumers the best possible taste
We use a double pot distillation method in stainless steel pot stills, which allow us to preserve the
natural flavours of highest quality 100% agave tasted best in Rooster Rojo Blanco
The water, used to produce Rooster Rojo® tequila is filtered through Mexican silver, the only brand
to do so, it makes the liquid softer and smoother making it perfectly easy to sip.
Following filtration Rooster Rojo blanco is bottled preserving all of the bright fresh agave flavours
that come from a 100% agave blanco tequila

Rough as a badger's bottom
I really didn't get on with this, it's as rough as the stuff I drank as a teenager that comes with a plastic sombrero on top, but significantly dearer. Don't waste your money, buy one of the slightly cheaper ones in rectangular bottles.
actually tasted like paint stripper
Very strange taste and too difficult to open - not just initially- every time.
great tequila
I received this as a free product to review. A great tequila which made a delicious margarita. Nothing to fault except the difficulty of opening the bottle, which some other reviewers have also noted!
Love it
I received a bottle of this to review. It was difficult to open but once in I have really enjoyed it. I have served it with Double Dutch cucumber margarita with chilli mixer and it has made a great alternative to gin and tonic, very refreshing on a hot evening. I am now buying a bottle myself.
Fabulous Mexican Espresso Martinis!
I am reviewing this product because I received a free sample from Ocado. I'm not a huge tequila drinker and am a little late reviewing the product due to ill health but it did not disappoint. I love making Mexican Espresso Martini's where you use tequila instead of vodka and this was so smooth, I preferred it to famous label I usually buy. We will definitely be purchasing again.
Pleased
Not big drinkers usually - particularly of Tequila, but works well diluted with juices / fizzy water and ice.
