In 1789, the revolution causes the fragmentation of the property. In the 1800s, the estate belonged to the Allaman family who sold it in 1855 to Anne Leclerc de Juigne de Lassigny. In 1955, Château Roubine was one of the 23 wineries recognized by decree as "Cru Classé" of the Côtes de Provence.
Appellation Côtes de Provence Contrôlée. The vineyard of Château Roubine, bordered by a cirque of pines and oaks, located in one piece in the heart of the Var between Verdon and the Mediterranean, offers by the great diversity of its thirteen grape varieties, its natural drainage ("roubine" means “Stream” in Provençal), by its ideal east / west orientation, by its clay-limestone soil, the conditions favoured for the production of high quality wines.
The vineyard extends over 130 hectares, including 72 hectares of vines, and excels through an optimal combination of advanced technology and the scrupulous application of the rules of sustainable agriculture.

Shame on you Ocado. In a cost of living crisis trying to charge £19.50 for a £9 wine is quite frankly shocking.
