We love this flavour and find it very refreshing served very cold. We are buying 2 packs a week on average as its on special. In light of the poor reviews... we have been buying this drink for the last 2-3 months so have nothing to compare the recipe to. Anyway new recipe or not we can only speak as we find and its a very popular choice in our fridge.
Theyve reduced the sugar content by adding stevia and its ruined what used to be a lovely premium brand of fizzy fruit drinks. Why they have done this I dont know. Im pretty sure most of us would pay the sugar tax to ensure consistency as previously every flavour in this line as delicious. Weve now tried the reformulated versions of all the flavoured sodas in the line and were so disappointed. Wont be buying anymore til they bring back the old recipes.
Even worse recently - if that were possible!
Tried to persist with this drink, which used to be a favourite, but was ruined by the change in recipe. However, it has, bizarrely, recently got even worse! The last batch tasted of sickly additive and hardly any grapefruit flavour. Have given up on this drink and the brand.
This used to be the only soft drink I had, but they changed the recipe! It’s absolutely foul now. I can’t drink it at all. It’s all to do with reducing the sugar content, but at this price point I don’t believe most people indulge too often. I shall not be buying again until I see “old recipe” back on the cans.
Such a shame
This was my favourite variety of the San Pellegrino drinks and it has been totally spoiled for me with the new artificial sweetener. I hadn't noticed from the can that anything was different but I disliked it from the first sip. Went to their website and discovered that pesky Stevia had ruined my favourite soft drink. I hope they bring back the old version, so we can at least make our own decision which to buy.
Can't believe this company signed off such horrid changes to their signature drinks. Buffoons
