Recipe Suggestion:
Chicken Fajitas
4 Servings
500g chicken breast fillet, cut into fine strips
2 tbsp butter or oil
1 pepper, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
1 Santa Maria Fajita Kit (8 Plain Flour Tortillas, Medium Salsa, Medium Fajita Seasoning Mix).
Chicken Fajita filling: Fry the chicken in a frying pan at high heat until it is golden brown on all sides. Add the pepper and onion and cook until the vegetables are browned. Turn the heat to medium and add the fajita seasoning mix. Stir so that the seasoning is evenly mixed. Let it simmer for around two minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked.
Heating of the tortillas: Place the tortillas on a hot, dry frying pan and grill for 6 seconds on each side. Alternatively, microwave each tortilla at full power (650W) for 8 seconds or all together for 45 seconds. You can also wrap the tortillas in foil and place in a preheated oven (180℃ / 350 F/Gas Mark 4) for 10 minutes.
Serving: Serve the fajita filling in warm tortillas and top with medium salsa. Roll up and enjoy!
