Sweetner in pickled onions?
Nice quality onions, but with an awful saccharine aftertaste.
Disappointing taste and lacked crunch
Bought these to try as they were on offer, so were cheaper than my usual brand. However, they were disappointing for three main reasons: firstly, they had very little taste, secondly, they were quite soggy and did not "bring crunch" as the label suggested, and thirdly, the onions had lots of loose skin/layers on them which is unpleasant to eat and the jar itself had more loose bits of skin/layers floating around than I would anticipate. Altogether, a very disappointing purchase and one that I will not repeat.
Perfect
Firstly, for anybody wondering, these are the same sweet and mild pickled onions that used to be under the Haywards brand. Secondly, they are very tasty! I have been buying these for years now and although I have tried other products, I have continued to think that these are in a league of their own. The onions are consistently good quality, with most of them being firm and slightly crunchy, though there is the occasional soggy one. True to the product description, the vinegar imparts a mild, sweet tang that is perfectly balanced to satiate pickle cravings without being too acetic. I would highly recommend this product.

I was sent this to review. I thought I would give this a go, but it's a definite no for me. Maybe it's because I don't like pickled onions.
