Mild curry sauce mix for Japanese style curry : Japanese curry is not as pungent as its Asian counterparts, which are often characterized by a few outstanding spices. Instead, it is a relatively mild and harmonious blend of curry powder and spices in which no particular ingredient stands out. And because it contains flour, the sauce is comparatively thick. In addition, Japanese curry is typically served with rice. These underlying characteristics have not changed much over the last 150 years, but subtle variations have resulted in a wonderfully complex Japanese curry culture that S&B is proud to introduce to the world.

Authentic Japanese curry paste

I can easily make authentic Japanese curry with this. Just lightly fry some veggies like onions, carrots, potatoes and some meat or tofu...then add some water to just cover the ingredients. Put the curry paste after everything is cooked. I did put some minced turkey and grilled aubergine and onions. It turned out to be great!

Full of trans fats

This is full of hydrogenated "trans" fats, which major supermarkets agreed to eliminate from their products back in 2012. I appreciate this is an import but I'm looking forward to Ocado stocking some Japanese curry which isn't so bad for your health.

excellent (2 meals worth in 1 pack)

Bought this to try, as my usual brand was not available. What a find! Delicious authentic Japanese curry in an hour. No complaints at the table. The pack contains to 2 packages, which makes it excellent value. Recommended!
