Born from the Sea
Our humble native crab Cancer Pagurus, overlooked for so long, but not any more. With its sublime taste, impressive nutritional credentials and versatility in the kitchen, no wonder it's in demand around the world. There's a beautiful simplicity to fishing for crab. You just lay down the pots and wait. Take pot luck, if you will. There's no unwanted by-catch and no damage to the seabed. Every crab is hand selected out of the pots - females with eggs and tiddlers are thrown back to swim another day, it's a responsible way of fishing that has endured for generations of fishermen and ensures our fresh tasting crab will be sustainably enjoyed for many more generations to come.

Keeping it Simple
We have an enduring respect and love for the sea. The mega coastal tides of the Atlantic keep our water quality clean and crystal clear and give our native crab the unique, clean, sweet taste for which it is renown around the world. Healthy seas mean healthy fish. Simple. Anyone who enjoys seafood should want it to be responsibly caught in clean, unsullied waters. To this end we're constantly looking at ways to ensure we operate our business with the lightest environmental footprint and will continue to innovate and explore ways we can be a part of the solution to keeping our oceans clean and our fisheries viable for future generations.

We're on a Mission
We're a family business that began life in the Cornish fishing port of Newlyn and we're dedicated to winning people over to the glories of crab. For us, the unpretentious fishing communities dotted around the British coast, where traditions die hard and the language is colourful, are hard to beat as places to live and work. There's a growing consensus that the future sustainability of our seas relies on a thriving inshore fishing community, small boats, manned by independent fishermen who know their stuff and do the right thing. To this end, we're proud to be supporting the Fishermen's Mission by donating some of our profits to help provide emergency, practical and emotional care for active and retired fishermen and their families.
