The fresh tender green leaves of the fenugreek plant, called Methi have a bitter-sweet flavour and are widely consumed as a regular green vegetable in Indian cooking. Shana Methi is chopped and may be used immediately from frozen, making it a tidy and convenient way to enjoy the vegetable at its best.
Our vegetables are frozen close to the time of harvest to ensure they retain a higher level of vitamins and nutrients. Absolutely no water is added during the IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) process, providing you with nature's best.

Excellent
Tasty, convenient and a very welcome addition to dal and curries..
Lovely deep flavour
I've had fresh methi in India and this is a good quality substitute. I don't understand the negative reviews. Mine was soft and tasty - wetter than fresh but I just cooked that off. Soft like cooked spinach. I had some mixed into scrambled eggs with paratha as straight as a vegetable. I'll be buying it again.
Please be careful \- Caused stomach poisoning
I need to WARN everyone that this product made my Grandson and I VIOLENTLY ILL As SOON as I ate a mouthful of the curry with just 2 'cubes' of this in for flavour and health benefits my stomach started GURLGING Then within 10 - 20 minutes the WIND started , then an unfortunate horrible ACCIDENT as the toxic reaction caused the runs , terribly :-( :-( My Grandson started coughing after eating his curry and then was SICK and I know it was the Methi as it was the only ingredient in the curry which was NEW and I had never used before I used it for health benefits yet a COMMON 'reaction' is stomach cramps , wind and diarreah I was also feeiing DIZZY so I was obviously allergic to it but it upset my Grandson's tummy as well and he has NEVER been ill after one of my curries and nor have I but this is a 'common' reaction to Methi which I had no IDEA ABOUT So please be careful as we only had 2 cubes in a large pot of curry but it was enough to set me off IMMEDIATELY and obviously I am allergic to it but then so is my Grandson as it made him vomit :-(
Very useful
Ive bought this five or six times. Very useful to have frozen. Only once I found a very woody thin bit of twig frozen in with the leaves.
disappointing
I was so happy to find frozen methi but sadly it has no methi taste, absolutely none.
Gritty
I was excited to see Fenugreek leaves on Ocado. However, they were gritty and had little flavour.
