Manufacturer marketing

Shana is a leading UK frozen food brand, and we have been helping families enjoy authentic South Asian food at home since 1996. Whether you are after warm, flaky parathas, naans or chapattis, a plate of samosas to share, or ready-prepped okra, methi or tuvar for your favourite curry, we have done the hard work so you don’t have to.

Our Story
It all started in a family kitchen. A mother wanted to cook okra, one of her favourite vegetables, but it was out of season and nowhere to be found. Rather than go without, we found a better way: in 1996, Shana brought individually quick frozen (IQF) okra to the UK for the first time, picked and frozen at its freshest, so it could be enjoyed all year round.
That simple idea grew into something much bigger. Next came our authentic samosas, followed by our famous Original Paratha, which is still a freezer favourite in homes across the UK today. Thirty years on, we are still driven by the same thing that started it all: making it easy for families to enjoy real South Asian home cooking, whatever the season.
