Need a blender for this
Due to have an operation (Nissen Fundoplication) where they have to get to the top of the stomach, and you are on a liquid diet for 2-4 weeks afterwards. In prep for the op, I'm doing a pre surgery liver shrink diet to make it easier for them to access the top of the stomach. One of the things suggested for both liver shrinkage and liquid diet after the op is protein keto shakes, so I bought this. I've had the normal slim fast shakes in the past, and found this one needs much more blending - the first time I did it, I blended for the amount of time I normally blend a smoothie with frozen fruit for, so not a particularly short time, and there were still loads of lumps when I poured it out. I blended it again for longer, and then it was smooth. It still had quite a grainy texture though. That was with water and ice, so I tried it the next time using almond milk, and it was much nicer consistency and taste. I would recommend this if you have a blender, and need a keto shake, but in my opinion, it's not as nice as the normal slimfast flavours.
Dirty keto (sweeteners)
Good enough for me, I have this often, easy tasty snack. 2 secs in the blender, use 50/50 ice cold koko milk and water. I like to add a drop of peppermint flavouring.
Sweet but tasty
Im trying a low carb diet and this is handy when Im out and about. I like it made with warm water so its a hot chocolate. Its thick and very sweet but I quite like it. Expensive though so it wont be a daily thing for me
Absolutely delicious
The chocolate one is amazing! Quite thick and filling, I personally love it.
Bit too sweet
but definitely not lumpy. Use a decent shaker with a powder filter. Decent taste and not overly fortified. Easy & hassle free standby.
Great quick breakfast.
I really like this. Have tried all flavours and the chocolate and vanilla are nicest. I blend in a nutri bullet with ice, spinach and low carb almond milk and it turns out really well. Fills me up and is good for when I’m in a rush. People may say it’s not strictly keto, more dirty keto but never knocks me out of ketosis and I’ve continued to lose weight having one every morning so works for me.
