JUST LIKE SUGAR
I love this as its so easy to replace sugar with it. No horrible aftertaste and bakes brilliantly
Simple and convenient
Tried the new liquid Splenda and could not get on with it. This is so easy to gauge the amount and to sprinkle on food. I do hate the yellow box in my kitchen though.
Great sugar substitute
I use this all the time on cereals, in hot drinks and to sweeten fruit in pies and crumbles. It is a great sugar substitute.
The best granulated sweetener
Whereas some people have found the use in cakes variable (using the creaming method anything other than sugar doesn't work the same) this is sill the best granulated sweetener. On cereals, on strawberries (and other fruit) and in stewing all kinds of fruit it has no aftertaste and works excellently. Wonderful. Can't understand the reviewer that said it had a horrible after-taste - no-one I've cooked for can tell its not sugar. As for spilling it everywhere - don't carry it round the house - or if you have too, decant it into something heavy. Yes it's light, but that's a great feature! :-)
Does not have the cooling effect of Erythrol nor the strong taste of stevia. It is the most neutral sweetener, does not denature tea or coffee and is heat stable.
the best alternative
This is the most natural tasting calorie free sweetener I have come across. Its pretty versatile too, with the proviso that it will not quite work in some recipies where the use of sugar is required to form a caramel or syrup during cooking.
