Stauning Bastard Rye Danish Whisky Mezcal Cask 70cl

Enjoy drinking Stauning Bastard Rye Whisky neat, on the rocks, or in a Stauning Boulevardier: 
4 cl. (1.5 oz.) Stauning Bastard Rye Whisky, 
3 cl. (1 oz.) Campari, 
3 cl. (1 oz.) sweet vermouth. 
Stir the ingredients in a tumbler filled with ice. Garnish with an orange peel.

Founded by nine unlikely friends at an equally unlikely place on the West Coast of Denmark, Stauning is Denmark’s first multi award-winning whisky distillery. The founders had no whisky secrets passed on aside from ‘cheers’ and with no traditions of their own, they leaned on their curiosity, the best of the past, the best of their combined expertise, and what’s at hand to create a truly Danish whisky.


Stauning Danish Whiskies are made with rye and barley grains sourced from two local farms, located on the windswept fields near Stauning Distillery on the West Coast of Denmark, which are floor malted and kiln dried at the distillery. Double-distilled in 24 small, direct-fired copper pot stills, and matured on-site in heavy charred new American white oak barrels, first-fill Bourbon casks, and a mix of beer, wine and spirits casks. All Stauning whiskies are bottled at Stauning Whisky Distillery with no colour added and are not chill filtered. There are easier ways for sure. But none better.
