Crafted with 100% floor malted local Danish barley, kiln dried using local heather and peat, and double distilled in our direct-fired pot stills. Stauning’s whisky-making process balances tradition, simplicity, and intention in this tribute to Denmark’s West Coast terroir. This unparalleled approach creates fresh and crisp orchard fruit notes, followed by gentle smoke. A bold and complex Danish single malt whisky, with incredible balance.
Stauning Smoke was voted Best Danish Single Malt Whisky at World Whiskies Awards 2022 and is the winner of a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022.

Enjoy drinking Stauning Smoke Single Malt Whisky neat, on the rocks, or in a Stauning Penicillin:


6 cl. (2 oz.) Stauning Smoke Single Malt Whisky,
3 cl. (1 oz.) freshly squeezed lemon juice,
1 teaspoon of honey,
3 slices of fresh ginger.


Mash the ginger, shake all ingredient together with ice. Double strain into a low-ball glass with lots of ice. Garnish with ginger or lemon.

Stauning

Located in the flat and serene landscape of West Coast Denmark - the place that many Danes come to unwind and get back to nature - Stauning Whisky Distillery was founded in 2005 by a collective of nine friends setting out to make a difference and bring whisky distilling back to Denmark. They focused on traditional production methods to create whisky reflecting the Danish ethos. What they created was a purpose-built distillery that embodies modern Danish design and a thoughtfully designed production process.

Gentle floral bonfire smoke combined with elegant citrus notes and honey sweetness on the nose. On the palate rich notes of tobacco, liquorice, walnuts and vanilla. Balanced by fresh herbs and sweet wood smoke in the finish.
