Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray is used to help clear the blocked up feeling in your nose and sinuses, and helps relieve congestion caused by sinusitis, colds and hayfever. It also helps to soothe and protect your irritated nasal lining.
Preparation and Usage
Read the package leaflet before use.Do not use the spray for more than 7 consecutive days.Do not use more medicine than the label tells you to.If you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.Use only in the nose. This medicine is for short term use only. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: One spray into each nostril up to 3 times daily, as necessary. Do not give to children under 12 years old.Do not use more than 3 doses in 24 hours.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you have:• elevated pressure inside the eye (glaucoma)• a metabolic disorder called porphyria• an enlarged prostate.• inadequate blood flow to the heart due to narrowing of the arteries (occlusive vascular disease)• long-term inflammation of the lining of the nose (chronic rhinitis)• a rare heart condition called long QT syndromeUsing the spray wrongly, or using too much, can cause side effects (see section 4 of the leaflet). Using the spray for too long or at too high a dose may cause swelling and possibly damage the lining of the nose. This can also lead to ‘rebound congestion'. See leaflet for further information.Keep away from the eyes.Do not use if you:• have recently used another medicine or nasal spray containing any decongestant, including xylometazoline.• are allergic to xylometazoline, dexpanthenol or any of the ingredients in this medicine.• are under 12 years of age.• have inflammation of the skin or lining of the nose, or formation of crusts (rhinitis sicca)• have had your pituitary gland removed.• have had recent brain surgery.• are taking, or have taken in the last two weeks, drugs for depression known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). • are pregnant or breastfeeding.• are taking other decongestant medicines including other xylometazoline products• have diabetes.• have an over active thyroid gland. • have high blood pressure or heart disease.• have closed angle glaucoma.• have a phaeochromocytoma (tumor in the adrenal gland).• are taking medicines to slow down the heart rate called beta blockers.Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
