Product Information
Spicy vegetable ’Nduja stir-in cooking paste made from fermented vegetables, tomatoes, red chilli and spices.
Created by chef Neil Rankin, symplicity.’s vegetable ’Nduja is a rich, savoury and deeply umami cooking ingredient inspired by the famous Calabrian ’Nduja. Instead of meat, vegetables are slowly fermented to unlock natural depth and complexity of flavour, then blended with tomato, chilli and spices to create a bold, fiery stir-in that brings warmth and intensity to everyday cooking.
A spoonful melts beautifully into pasta sauces, tomato sauces, ragù and stews, adding depth, heat and savoury richness. It can be stirred through beans, lentils or chickpeas, added to soups and broths, or mixed into roasted vegetables for an instant flavour boost. Spread onto pizza bases or flatbreads, stir into shakshuka or baked eggs, or simply spoon over buttery toast or grilled sourdough for a quick, satisfying dish.
The slow fermentation process helps develop the deep savoury character that chefs often describe as umami, giving this vegetable ’Nduja the same bold flavour intensity that makes traditional ’nduja such a powerful ingredient in Italian cooking.
Originally developed in professional kitchens and now used by chefs across the UK, symplicity.’s vegetable ’Nduja makes it easy to add spicy, savoury flavour to everyday meals. Just a small spoonful transforms simple ingredients into something richer and more exciting.
