Brand details

Taittinger Brut Vintage is a beautifully elegant Champagne, perfect for celebrating life’s special moments. Made from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, it uses only the first press of the grapes—mostly from the top-rated “Grands Crus” villages in Champagne.

After spending over five years aging in Taittinger’s amazing UNESCO-listed cellars, it’s developed a lovely depth and balance. This vintage brings together everything that makes a great Champagne: the unique character of the year, the richness of the region’s terroir, and Taittinger’s signature style. When it’s young, it’s vibrant and expressive all on its own as a scene-stealing apéritif or an accompaniment to delicate canapés. As it ages, it gains complexity and becomes a fantastic match for refined, delicate dishes. Whether you’re toasting a big milestone or enjoying a quiet dinner, this vintage is something special.

History

Champagne Taittinger's origins date back to 1734. The Taittinger link was established in 1931 when Pierre Taittinger acquired the House. He was stationed at the Château de la Marquetterie when serving in the 1st World War and fell in love with the property and its vineyards and eventually purchased the company. Today, the Reims based House is one of the few key Champagne houses to remain owned and actively managed by the family named on the label.

Tasting notes

A vivacious, fresh nose offers aromas of hawthorn, grapefruit and pear. The palate is crisp and wonderfully precise. Marked by citrus fruit, it offers an excellent balance of structure and finesse. The complex finish is elegant and long.

Manufacturer marketing

Taittinger remains as one of the last great Champagne Houses still owned and actively led by the family whose name graces the label. Now in its fourth generation, the house is guided by Vitalie and Clovis Taittinger, great-great children of founder Pierre Taittinger, who remain dedicated to preserving the elegance, precision, and spirit that define Taittinger Champagne.

Celebrated for its graceful style, Taittinger places a distinctive emphasis on Chardonnay, lending finesse, freshness, and longevity to its wines. With 288 hectares of meticulously tended vineyards—among the largest in the region—the house maintains exacting standards from vine to glass, crafting Champagnes renowned worldwide for their purity, consistency, and charm.
