The new packaging on Talisker is 99.8% recyclable with 86% less plastic components by weight
Intense and powerful, the Talisker family all have a peaty, smoky flavour. This quality comes from the peat burned during the malting process and carries on it the salted smoke of an island battered by wind and waves. Beneath the smoke you'll find soft fruits and cereal notes, with a distinctive peppery finish

Really good whisky

Strong taste of the sea and Skye. Very smooth and lots of flavour.

Nothing Stood Out

Couldn't find anything to appeal in this run-of-the-mill offering. Not much seaside. Perhaps I'm caught between the poles of Islay and Speyside (I enjoy both styles) and wasn't sure where Talisker fits.

Nice balance of smoke and sweetness

This whisky strikes a good balance of peaty smokiness and sweetness for me.

strong, subtle, elegant

If you have a cold and want essence of peatsmoke and burnt tires, drink something else. If you want one of the finest and most sophisticated malts around, drink Talisker. Simply beautiful.

Confused

I tried this on the basis of good reviews - not here but in whisky books, mags, etc.- it's certainly full of flavours, but I found these confused, muddled, and not to my palate. I really wanted to like this, but the spark wasn't there.
