Here the grapes still trodden by foot to become the wine which is the backbone of Taylor's vintage port. In certain years when a Taylor's vintage is not declared, the best of the estate's produce is selected and bottled as a 'single-quinta' vintage. In its century of Taylor's ownership, Vargellas has become recognized as one of the great wine estates of the world. This port is from a single vintage.
