Product information

Assam in north-eastern India grows exceptional tea in the lush soil of the Brahmaputra valley - and we pick ours at the peak of the season from some of the region's finest estates during the second flush harvest. It's rich, strong and full-bodied with malty notes.

Ocado why have you stopped stocking M&S Assam Tea?

I will not be forced to buy Twinings and Taylors is ridiculously expensive. Why do you keep retiring M&S staples?

lacking flavour

Have been working through Ocados offerings of Assam tea brands and this is our least favourite. The tea was really lacking in flavour and tasted flat no Assam characteristics at all so will not be buying this brand again. Although pricey prefer the HN as a treat.

Beautiful flavour, one bag does one cup

Beautiful flavour, one bag does one cup That's why some people are finding it too weak as they're putting it in the pot? These bags are only meant to do one cup, which this does perfectly If I do it in the large mug, it is just too weak Four stars because of the ludicrous packaging, which is beautiful, and the elevated price, which is disgusting Beautiful flavour, perfect for a strong cup of tea for one, lovely clean multiflavor, but appalling mark-up.

Bland, watery disappointment

Assam is supposed to be a malty strong tea, this is nothing like. Hardly a hint of malt. I tried brewing it for longer than the 4 minutes I usually use and still just watery blandness and almost tasteless. Ludicrous amount of packaging, vastly over-priced - a massive disappointment from these supposed tea experts.
