Product information

Vineyard: Alluvial, sandy and shallow soils. Cool and dry weather with significant variation between day and night temperature (16°C). Drip irrigation.
Ageing: 9 months in 100% French oak, 100% new oak.
Colour: Golden yellow, with green highlights.
Aroma: Predominance of fresh mature fruit like lime, apricot and peach together with tropical fruit, supported by vanilla and toasted notes provided by the oak.
Palate: Rich, concentrated and with a silky mouth feel.

History
Tradition and French know-how, combined with an exceptional Argentinean terroir, enable the Terrazas team to extract the intensity and the character of each genuine grape variety. From the foothills of the Argentinian Andes, Terrazas de Los Andes offers generosity, elegance and complexity.
Regional Information
The grapes grow at an altitude of 1,250 m, producing a wine of great amplitude and vivacity. The freshness typical from this vintage is perceived in subtle and sparkling notes of lime peel. It's fine traces of toasted bread add complexity to the mouth of this balanced Chardonnay.

Vinification Details
2016 was atypical. A colder spring with a delay in bud break, rains during flowering and numerous overcast days resulted in delayed maturity and lower yields. These conditions led to wines of great quality and freshness, less alcohol, excellent acidity and remarkable varietal aromas. This wine has been aged for 8 months in stainless steel and oak barrels.

I bought this wine on promo to try and was so pleasantly surprised - absolutely delicious - crisp, fresh - perfect for a sunday roast chicken

Love this new vintage

A really fresh yet creamy and layered new world Chardonnay. My friends loved the wine at a recent dinner party with fish and vegetables.

Fresh and delicious!

I recently ordered this Chardonnay after a friend recommended it and I saw it was on promotion. This was really delicious - very fresh and crisp, perfect Summer time drink, but also layered and rich so it went perfectly with my roast chicken! Will be ordering again!

Favourite Chardonnay

Bought this weekend to drink at a BBQ and it went perfectly with the grilled fish. Really fresh and stone-fruity, will definitely purchase again.

overpowering tar odour

I bought this as I like a well rounded oaky Chardonnay and this sounded perfect. Should have read the reviews first. Upon opening there was a strong hot tar almost petrol type odour. This didn't go away and spoilt the taste sadly as underneath was a smooth, full bodied not overly acidic wine.

this really is not a very nice wine at all, smells awful and doesnt taste much better than it smells...
