Vineyard: Alluvial, sandy and shallow soils. Cool and dry weather with significant variation between day and night temperature (16°C). Drip irrigation.
Ageing: 9 months in 100% French oak, 100% new oak.
Colour: Golden yellow, with green highlights.
Aroma: Predominance of fresh mature fruit like lime, apricot and peach together with tropical fruit, supported by vanilla and toasted notes provided by the oak.
Palate: Rich, concentrated and with a silky mouth feel.

The grapes grow at an altitude of 1,250 m, producing a wine of great amplitude and vivacity. The freshness typical from this vintage is perceived in subtle and sparkling notes of lime peel. It's fine traces of toasted bread add complexity to the mouth of this balanced Chardonnay.

Terrazas

2016 was atypical. A colder spring with a delay in bud break, rains during flowering and numerous overcast days resulted in delayed maturity and lower yields. These conditions led to wines of great quality and freshness, less alcohol, excellent acidity and remarkable varietal aromas. This wine has been aged for 8 months in stainless steel and oak barrels.
