The transition to a keto diet can be difficult, but this "induction" phase doesn't have to be! Best-selling author of The KetoDiet Cookbook, Martina Slajerova, explains the first tricky few weeks as your metabolism readjusts to burning fat rather than carbs. The ketogenic diet has become the go-to healthy diet for losing weight, managing diabetes, and possibly preventing and managing conditions such as neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.

the best! and has Eastern European dishes in it.
MI have all Martina's book and this one is my favourite. Very helpful and easy to follow for Keto beginners, tasty recipes and nice European input due to her roots.
Oriented towards the American market
Although the author lives in the UK, the wording, etc is Americanised. Some of the specialised ingredients too. The explanation at the beginning about Keto is good. Thereafter I found the recipes to be too complicated and needing quite a few ingredients. There is so much more on the internet - free! I don't know why I bought the book actually. Might make the mushroom soup. That's about it! Sorry to be negative, but I am afraid I found it very disappointing. Glad it was reduced.
