Not a Dhansak!
This is nothing like a Dhansak! More of a Rogan Josh. No lentils. Very oily and tomatoey. Would be ok if was another dish except for all the oil. Not worth the price charged. Had a similar tub from our local farm shop which is brilliant and exactly like a Dhansak. Not sure what this is trying to be.
watery grease
I used to adore this brand, but shelling out nearly £5, I anticipated top-notch flavor and quality. Instead, all I got was a watery mess of grease, forcing me to whip up my own. The whole idea was convenience, but this fell flat. I'll be passing on this brand from now on, as there are much cheaper options that deliver superior quality.
too sour
been trying since December 2022 to try this sauce. have to say im very disasppointed. i adore Dhansak sauce from Indian take aways but this is nothing like an Indian recipe. ive got 4 more cartons if anyone wants them cos I was convinced the sauce was s98o flipping good they couldnt provide doh!!
Yummy
Brought this to try and haven’t looked back. For a quick mid week meal it’s perfect. Good level of spice, can be a bit oily though. I enjoy the flavour and so does my husband.
ok but not as expected
I was hoping this to be as in most restaurants but it wasnt.
Lubbly jubbly
