The Newt in Somerset Beef, Red Wine & Lentil Stew

This stew foregrounds tender beef slowly braised with red wine, green lentils and butternut squash for a rich, deeply savoury dish, with a touch of fragrant sweetness from root vegetables and garden herbs. A hearty meal for two on its own, it’s even better with a heap of creamy mash and buttered seasonal greens on the side.

Keep Refrigerated; Not Suitable for Home Freezing

Hob - From Chilled. 1. Heat on the hob from chilled.
2. Remove all packaging and empty contents into a saucepan.
3. Heat gently on a medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Do not allow stew to boil.
5. Check food is piping hot and serve.
Once cooked, do not reheat. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
