The Newt in Somerset Caramelised Onion & Cyder Soup

Slow-cooked, jammy onions meet earthy potatoes and sweet-tart Bramley apples in this rich soup finished with fresh cream, cyder and chopped chives. Serve simply with crusty bread or, a little less simply, with a slice of sourdough topped with oozingly melty mature cheddar.

Made in small batches in our Somerset Farm Kitchen, our chefs create delicious meals inspired by the estate and the dishes served in our restaurants.

Ready in 5 minutes

Keep Refrigerated; Suitable for Home Freezing

Hob - From Chilled. 1. Heat on the hob from chilled.
2. Remove all packaging and empty contents into a saucepan.
3. Heat gently on a medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Don't bring to a boil.
5. Check food is piping hot and then serve.
6. Once cooked, do not reheat.
