WHAT IS MUSHROOM "TOFU"?
Inspired by traditional tofu-making, our block has the same firm texture, just without the soya. We use a different but simple method that uses broad bean and pea proteins, forming a versatile block just like tofu (hence the name "Tofu"). We add in wholefoods like mushrooms, spinach and seeds to boost protein, fibre and umami flavour. Perfect for stir-fries, ragus and everything in between.

Cooking guidelines

Air Fry - From Chilled. Set air fryer to 200°C. Cut the block into 2cm pieces and coat in 1 tbsp of oil. Place the pieces evenly in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 6-8 minutes until browned all over. Cook times may vary. Check the pieces periodically during cooking.; Cooking Instructions - General. For best results pan fry from chilled.
Remove all packaging before cooking. Ensure the product is piping hot. Not suitable for microwave cooking.; Shallow Fry - From Chilled. Dice the block into 2cm pieces. Preheat 1 tbsp of oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Fry the pieces for 6-8 minutes, turning frequently until browned all over.

Mushroom "Tofu" Ramen
Serves 2
Ingredients:
500ml Ramen broth
1 block Extra Firm Mushroom "Tofu", diced
2 noodle nests
2 small pak choi, sliced in half
1 red chili, sliced
1 spring onion, sliced
1 carrot, peeled & cut into matchsticks
Olive oil
Step 1: Preheat a pan over a medium heat and add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the Extra Firm Mushroom "Tofu" and cook for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 2: Meanwhile, place the noodles in a bowl and cook as per packet instructions.
Step 3: Heat the broth in a small saucepan and, while it's warming, add the pak choi to poach for 2-3 minutes, until tender.
Step 4: To assemble the ramen, divide the noodles between two bowls. Top with the Extra Firm Mushroom "Tofu" and pak choi, then ladle over the hot broth.
Step 5: Garnish with the carrot, spring onion, and red chili.
