Preparing Tofu Knots - The Tofu Tasty Way
Immerse your tofu in cold water for at least 2 hours to hydrate your tofu, then drain in a colander before cooking. Now pick your texture!
Crunchy & Crispy
Toss & coat the knots in plenty of cornflour. Deep fry for 2 minutes or pan fry all sides for 5 minutes in oil.
Crispy & Flakey
Lightly coat knots in oil, and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes until golden and crispy.
Soft & Silky
Simply simmer directly in your favourite sauces and broths.
Top Tips!
Work in small batches to maintain crispness!
Drain on kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
Be careful not to cook or soak the tofu knots for too long, they can become fragile.

yummy
These add a really nice texture to noodles etc. when you follow the cooking instructions/ coat in cornflour and fry
read the instructions
perfect cupboard ingredient - but you must follow the instructions or you won't see how great they are to have around.
strange taste
Good texture, but theres a strange taste.
Taste weird
Not nice at all, there’s an almost floury taste to them. Won’t buy again.
Not a fan
Fairly bland and cook irregularly so the ends are very soft and the middle is chewy/hard. Would not buy again.
Nice addition to rice or noodles
I'd seen these used by a vegan chef - they recommended boiling them like the box suggests, and then covering them in gochujang mixture and baking until crispy. I did just that and added them to a bowl of ramen - they were so tasty and easy to prep. Lots of protein too.
