History
Torres has over 150 years wine making history and exports to over 150 countries. It is a family-run business, now on the 5th generation of family members. Ibéricos, takes its name from the Iberian Peninsula, a land of lonely oaks and ancient vineyards. This noble wine from the Torres family, made with the Tempranillo varietal, is aged for 12 months in oak barrels and then bottle aged. Thus, the wine speaks to us of the land it comes from and its origins with aromas of forest fruits and spices.

Regional information
Rioja is one of the top wine regions of Spain and was actually one of the first DO's of Spain. There are several micro climates and different structures of soil. Torres experimented with different varieties of oak and made different blends with grapes sourced from La Rioja Alavesa and La Rioja Alta, which both have relatively cool winters and hot summers. Alavesa has a more chalk-rich clay soil and Rioja Alta is basically also chalk-rich soil, but with a higher percentage of iron.
