A ripe and velvety organic Montepulciano with subtle tannins and a slight herbaceous feel which lifts the dark cherry fruit. Fresh, mineral and crisp with peristence and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Perfect with rich grilled meat courses, cured meats, seasoned cheeses, and lasagna.

A ripe and velvety Montepulciano with a little tannin and herbaceousness to lift the dark cherry fruit. Fresh, mineral and crisp with persistence and a full-bodied mouthfeel
History
Torri Cantine was originally a cooperative established in 1966, but has since become a small private estate with around 25 hectares of mature vines. The vineyards are fully converted to organic wine production.
Regional Information
The region enjoys mild temperatures during winter and large diurnal range during the summer. The vineyards are dry and ventilated at 290m above sea level.

2021
Vinification Details
Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of max 20C. The wine subsequently spent 6 months aging in bottle before release.

Furry

Was expecting something deep and rich, but sadly, this one is furry on the tongue, light and uninteresting . OK for say £8, but not for £17.00. Fur remains on the tongue even well after drinking.

Everyone loved this.

Friends who drink montepulciano regularly, thought this was a great version when they visited and drank this. Very smooth and lovely soft fruit notes. Would definitely recommend.

The smoothest red wine

This is without a doubt the smoothest red wine I have ever drunk, goes exceptionally well with lasagna. I’m going to be drinking a lot more of this.

Great all rounder

This went down really well with family & friends before on its own and with a meaty curry. Very flexible, good quality red.

Exactly what a good bottle of wine should be!!!!!

We really love this one, it's become a favourite, let's hope that we never see "we no longer stock..." on this one.
