smooth
I am reviewing this product as I received it as a free gift from Ocado. Although rather pricey, its a delicious whiskey - smooth on the palette with a wonderful aftertaste.
A good whiskey
I was given this product in return for an honest review. Uncle Nearest has a nice deep amber colour and is much stronger that a lot of other whiskeys. It is definitely not the smoothest I have tried and it did leave a lasting taste in the mouth. If drank on its own it needs to be sipped (whilst watching a good film on a cold night). It makes a good long drink it was enjoyed with a little sparkling water. I actually liked it made into a longer drink using a good quality TONIC water, it was a little too sweet using a dry ginger mix. Overall, a good whiskey made to be savoured and not rushed due to it's strength, a bottle to be enjoyed over a long period.
lovely
really enjoyed this
Very tasty
I received a voucher for this item, whilst it's more expensive than what I'd usually pay it was definitely a tasty treat.
nice treat
i am reviewing this product as i received a voucher from ocado .This is a very nice whisky that is being introduced to the U.K. market. It has an attractive burnished gold colour and on pouring it has a slightly smoky, sweet aroma. The first heat mellows with definite hints of maple and winter spice. There is a comforting long after taste which develops that honey maple warmth. I usually drink Islay single malts and this compares very favourably. It is a quality product, it is not cheap but definitely one I would buy as a treat. Perfect for appreciating slowly on these long winter evenings.
Very nice!
I got a free bottle to review from Ocado. I am a regular whisky drinker (but I dont know the terminology) I did really enjoy this one. It had a really nice taste and a nice lingering aftertaste too. Yes its a little more expensive than some but I do think you can taste the difference. I would buy this again.
