Not Great
Barely able to get the slices apart it was so thin. Not great.
Its supposed to be mainly fat
So many reviews saying its fatty - Its supposed to be, it needs to be rendered down and the fat used as umami, as an addition to carbonara or a salad dressing. Its not prosciutto or bacon. Its excellent as pancetta. Which is what it is. Not. Bacon.
Delicious treat added to carbonara
We order every week - great to grill for a few mins, allow to crisp up and then serve on top of carbonara. Surprised at some of the negative reviews - strips can easily be separated with a knife and are easy to handle/flip with silicone tongs. There is always some natural variation of fat vs meat, but if cooked properly this isnt an issue. Weve been ordering for 12months+ and never had any issues.
Oh boy
I know pancetta is normally on the fatty side but there was barely a slither of meat in sight . So so thinly sliced and when you try to peel it apart you fail and end up with strings of fat instead of- trying to wrap chicken breasts with this was an absolute fail!
Too damaged to use
Ive been purchasing this product for some time however the last packet was unusable. The slices were mangled together and could not be separated, completely ruined our evening meal.
